Despite being only on his third season with the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant is already well on his way to making his mark in the history of the franchise. On Monday night, the defending back-to-back Finals MVP reached another milestone after amassing another 30-point triple-double.

The Warriors fell to the Los Angeles Clippers, 121-116 after a hard-fought overtime battle. Despite the defeat, it was a another historic record-setting outing for Durant who put up a game-high 33 points (10-24 FG, 11-13 FT), 11 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, two blocks, and four turnovers.

His latest 30-point triple-double enters Durant in elite company with the great Wilt Chamberlain and teammate Stephen Curry, who was out again on Monday.

This is the second straight game the Curry has been forced to miss as he continues to recover from a groin strain. The Dubs sure missed the two-time season MVP's services tonight, and will again be without their star point guard on Tuesday when they face the Atlanta Hawks. The Warriors are understandably erring on the side of caution with the 6-foot-3 guard, so it would not be surprising if he misses another handful of games because of his current injury.

In the meantime, Durant and co. will need to hold down the fort as the Warriors carry on their quest to an unprecedented three-peat this season. Not having Curry is definitely a blow for the Dubs, but it's not as if they have a shortage of superstars who are more than capable to step up.
