Kevin Durant has been one of the league's prolific scorers throughout his first 11 seasons in the league.

According to Mark Medina of The Mercury News, Durant has once again moved up the scoring list past former star forward Antawn Jamison for 43rd on the all-time scoring list.

This comes shortly after becoming the second youngest player in league history behind Cleveland Cavaliers star forward LeBron James to reach 20,000 career points. The 29-year-old is putting together another great season averaging 26.3 points on 51.2 percent shooting from the field along with 40.4 percent from beyond the arc with 7.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.2 blocks per game.

Durant has scored 20 or more points in 33 games, 30 or more seven times, 40 or more in one contest. Since joining the Warriors, he has become a much more efficient scorer that has only allowed him to continue to put up big performances nightly during the season.

A sizable chunk of this is having the benefit of playing with a well-balanced team that has three other All-Star talents and also under one of the best head coaches in the league in Steve Kerr. Durant has also fully embraced the culture and playing style that Golden State has had much success with over the last several seasons.

It has also helped him seamlessly transition to being the team's top scoring option with his teammates, in particular, two-time league MVP Stephen Curry, has stepped aside a bit to allow for Durant to assume that role in the offense. This along with playing with other premier scorers in Curry and Klay Thompson eases the offensive load while it could extend his time in the league as a highly productive scorer.

With Durant still in the prime of his career, he has a huge opportunity to climb up the list to finish as one of the top scorers in league history.
