Making a slight trip to the past, Kevin Durant was asked to pick a historic player he'd like to play with, during a YouTube livestream hangout interview in his channel.

The Golden State Warriors forward darted a couple of options, first opting for a dominant center, then for a passing wizard, expressing his admiration.

“It would probably have to be Wilt Chamberlain, or I'll go Magic Johnson,” said Durant. “It's a tie between those two. Magic is next level. I'm a huge Magic fan.”

A pairing of Durant and Chamberlain would be a tough one to imagine as both are dominant scorers that need the ball in their hands to be at their most effective.

The Stilt was an absolute eraser on defense and an excellent offensive and defensive rebounder, but surprisingly a very capable passer as well, averaging 7.8 and 8.6 assists per game during his 1966-68 seasons — taking a break from his ruthless scoring throughout his first eight years in the league.

Magic is one of the most-gifted passers in NBA history and one that could run the break like no other with someone as athletic and long as Durant. The prominence of today's three-point shot in the NBA would make this an interesting combination, giving Johnson more potential passing lanes to work alongside the easy-money sniper.
