With the new format for the All-Star Game set to be used for the first time this season, players from the same team could be playing against each other during next month's exhibition game. That may be the case for Golden State Warriors stars Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry especially if LeBron James uses the first pick to select the reigning Finals MVP. Instead of seeing it as a problem though, he is even looking forward to it.

Being the professional that he is, Durant recently said that he is not concerned who among the two team captains will select him. He then added during a recent interview that he is prepared to switch out to his Dubs teammate and block him if the opportunity presents itself.

James and Curry are tasked to choose their teammates as they both finished the All-Star balloting with the highest votes from their conferences. Durant is expected to be an early selection, given his talent and experience, as he is also widely considered to be one of the best players in the world today. His comments also go to show that the annual showcase could be different from previous years and become highly competitive.

It will certainly be interesting to see teammates competing against one another next month. With Durant making it known that he will not take it easy on the former back-to-back MVP, it could fire up Curry to play at his best on the night as he wants to have the bragging rights once they return to the Warriors' practice sessions.
