During the NBA All-Star media session, Kevin Durant was asked about the great dunk he has ever seen, and he had a comical answer. Of the course guy, he is referring too is his former teammate Russell Westbrook, but the way he approached the question and the answer was creative.

“This 6-3 guy I used to play with a couple years ago his athleticism is off the charts. I used to see him do normal dunks every day and now when I see dunks it's not as good as his. He's just an athletic guy and I think he plays in OKC. I threw him a lob one game and he was over the backboard, and since that one, no one can compare.”

There has been no shortage of a war of words between the Golden State Warriors forward and Oklahoma City Thunder point guard, but it appears as though the relationship may be at least becoming civil.

After the All-Star practice, Westbrook was asked about his relationship with Durant.

“It’s been fine. It’s been normal,” Westbrook said of being around Durant this weekend. “Communicating, and that’s about it, you know? All the other stuff is kind of irrelevant. Keeping it cool, talking when we need to, and just moving forward.”

For Durant he took it even farther and made it sound like the relationship is repaired.

“I just got out of my own head and got out of my own way and stopped thinking it was even a thing,” Durant said. “It’s cool to kind of get past that and appreciate these guys for who they are and what they do. And it’s all love at the end of the day.”

It's a good sign that if nothing else, these two are moving towards a civil relationship with each other. Besides, they were the ones mainly responsible for putting the Thunder on the NBA map during their run together in Oklahoma City.
