As one of the best — if not the best — player duos in the NBA, Golden State Warriors stars Kevin Durant and Steph Curry have developed quite the relationship as teammates over the last two seasons. With that being said, close teammates should be able to joke around with each other, and that is exactly what Durant did at Curry's expense.

In a sneak preview of the NBA Countdown interview with Rachel Nichols that will air Christmas Day in its entirety on ABC, Durant gave Curry a hard time about his high school playing days in a video clip posted to Streamable.

“You wasn't that good back then,” Durant said with a laugh. “I'm sorry. You nice now, but back then I was like ‘who is this little skinny kid?' And I was skinny myself, but look at where he is now.”

Nichols also posted some pictures to her Twitter account of her interview with the two teammates.

Unfortunately for Curry, the superstar point guard will not be able to join Durant in time to suit up for their Christmas Day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Oracle Arena. To be safe, the team is still resting Curry while he recovers from a badly sprained right ankle that he suffered late in the fourth quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans back on Dec. 4.
