Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant spoke with the media on Wednesday during USA Basketball minicamp. He discussed the notion that he's sensitive and, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Durant had this to say:

“I know you think I'm sensitive, but I'm just somebody who is tired of holding shit in.”

Durant is arguing that he's not sensitive, but every time he opens his mouth or sends a tweet, he comes off as overly sensitive. No doubt, he is criticized from almost every direction, but it's better to let that stuff go. Constantly responding to each and every criticism makes him look soft, whether the criticism is coming from fellow NBA players or kids in high school.

Growing tired of keeping everything inside is only natural. We all feel the urge to respond when we receive criticism. But he's only fueling the fire when he comes back at people.

LeBron James received the same types of criticism when he made his decision to form a superteam in Miami. The difference between James and Durant is that the former let his play on the court do the talking.

Of course, Durant's success with the Warriors is undeniable. But rather than letting the conversation lose steam, Durant continually fans the flames.

He's one of the best basketball players in the world, but his legacy could be tarnished when it's all said and done. Perhaps it's a small price to pay for multiple championships.

Maybe Kevin Durant should resurrect his burner account.
