Kevin Durant is fresh off winning two straight NBA titles, and that's not even mentioning that he was the Finals MVP during both of the Golden State Warriors most recent championship runs. If any player deserves a break this offseason, it's Durant.

But according to David Aldridge of TNT, Durant has no plans to take it easy this summer. Aldridge is reporting that Durant will attend the USA Men's Basketball national team minicamp this summer.

Durant is one of the 35 players chosen to the 2018-2020 USA National Team. The superstar has been a fixture on the roster for almost 10 years. Durant received gold medals during the 2010 FIBA World Championships, as well as the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.

His spot on the team isn't in doubt in any way. If he wants to play, he's certainly going to be one of the 12 best players through the 2020 Olympics. It will ultimately depend on Durant's health and his interest in furthering his legacy on the international stage.

His decision to attend minicamp is an indication that he's still very interested in playing in international competitions.

Durant should be no stranger to mega teams after deciding to link up with the Golden State Warriors in 2016. The only difference is that no one will fault him for playing for his country. Perhaps some NBA fans can put aside their hatred for Durant and the Warriors to cheer on Team USA during the next few summers.
