Kevin Durant wore his sheriff badge once inserted into the game at the 7:03 marks of the fourth quarter, helping his Golden State Warriors rally from a three-point deficit and draining shot after shot in a gutty 110-107 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

The 2014 MVP was locked-in to the fullest, making 5-of-6 from the field, including four straight buckets and 14 straight points to lead the short-handed Warriors, who played the vast majority of the game without an injured Stephen Curry.

“We were struggling a bit and I told myself to empty the clip,” said Durant after the win. “We got some good shots. I got fouled on a 3-pointer, I think that's what got me going.”

“I just tried to press ‘go' and try to get good shots every time.”

Durant's 14 straight points put the Warriors even with the Spurs, as Draymond Green locked in a triple-double effort with a layup to follow, ultimately managing to escape despite some miscues on defense and allowing an open look at a potential game-tying 3-point attempt by Bryn Forbes.

Durant's 37 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks singlehandedly carried a team without a starting point guard and a struggling shooting guard in Klay Thompson who shot an awful 5-of-16 from the floor, including 1-of-5 on 3-pointers.

This win helped extend the Warriors' streak to seven in a row, but they will need a lot more from Durant with an upcoming back-to-back against the Portland Trail Blazers on the road and a weekend meeting with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday; both vying for a playoff spot.
