On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors announced that star forward Kevin Durant has an incomplete rib cartilage fracture and will be out two weeks with the injury.

Durant last played against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, finishing with 26 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals on 10-19 shooting from the field in 35 minutes of action.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Durant suffered the injury in a game early this week against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but played through the pain in that game as well as the next.

Durant was already out for Friday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings with sore ribs, and an MRI conducted on Friday revealed that Durant is dealing with a rib cartilage fracture.

This injury now means that the Warriors will be without Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant for the foreseeable future. Curry is currently dealing with an ankle sprain that he re-aggravated a few games ago and will be out until at least March 20th. Thompson suffered a fractured thumb and will be re-evaluated on March 22nd.

The Warriors now likely look to Draymond Green and Nick Young to carry the offensive load with their trio of stars out over the next couple of weeks.
