In case you don't know, Stephen Curry is a team captain for the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. The new format for the game will allow team captains to select All-Stars to form their own super team. Apparently, every All-Star is digging into the hype to be selected by either Stephen Curry or LeBron James this year.

Klay Thompson went as far to jokingly announce that he would request a trade if Stephen Curry didn't draft him.

“No, I’m just happy to be there,” said Thompson. “It’s an honor to be an All Star. I’ll probably request a trade if he doesn’t pick me. I’m just kidding [smiles], but it’ll be fun.”

“I’m actually pretty excited. I wish they would announce it publicly, because I think it’ll be hilarious if we got the last pick, but it’s still awesome just to be there, being an All-Star, I don’t even care about [being] the last pick, it would just be fun to poke fun at that person.”

In his recent Twitter post, which he later deleted, it appears that Thompson got his wish in some sort of weird innuendo.

Wow. Thompson basically gave away his selection by Curry in the upcoming All-Star game. Although Thompson was apparently joking when he said he would “request a trade” if Curry doesn't pick him, he posted a dead giveaway that Curry eventually did, remarking that he “wouldn't have to request that trade.”

We don't truly know who Curry will select for his team, but it's clear that Thompson definitely wants to be a part. After all, both players are among the best 3-point shooters in the league and have won two NBA titles together. They deserve it.
