Golden State Warriors shooter Klay Thompson was scorching red hot in their win over the Houston Rockets. After the game, he gave the credit to big man DeMarcus Cousins for the open looks.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Thompson — who was 5-of-10 from the 3-point country — praised Cousins' great vision.

“I was getting wide open looks because of his passing ability.”

In their 106-104 victory, Thompson had a game-high, 30 points. Cousins was not far behind with a near triple-double, 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

Slowly and surely, it seems that Cousins is being integrated well into the Warriors offense. Their last 10 games have been mediocre. They've split it at 5-5 which could be a cause of concern heading into the playoffs. But their great win over the Rockets — who were one game away from booting them out last year — proves that the Warriors still have it in them.

As of writing, they have a 46-21 record for first place in the Western Conference. They are now 1.5 games above the Denver Nuggets — a team who was in the top spot almost the entire regular season. With 15 games remaining in the regular season, the Warriors are looking to secure the first seed in the West for homecourt advantage in the postseason.
