The Golden State Warriors’ recent three-game homestand is over, and unfortunately, so is Warriors guard Klay Thompson’s window for pledging $1,000 for every point he scores to the North Bay Fire Relief. After the end of the three-game stint, Thompson scored a total of 69 points, which means his donation will amount to $69,000.

Thompson scored 22 points in the first game against the Toronto Raptors and 18 points in the second against the Washington Wizards, both of which resulted in come-from-behind Warriors wins. Thompson then saved his best for last with 29 points against the Detroit Pistons, although it wasn’t enough to prevent the Warriors from going down at home for the second time this season.

Thompson’s contribution goes way beyond the $69,000 he will give out his own pocket after scoring those 69 points, though. He has helped garner more donations from other people for his “Points with Purpose” pledge which has already raised upwards of $300,000. That amount will go a long way toward helping the victims of the wildfires which ravaged parts of Northern California last month.

Given the level of devastation those fires caused, though, don’t be surprised if Thompson finds a way to contribute even more to that worthwhile cause in the near future.
