Klay Thompson could be with the Golden State Warriors soon as he continues his rehab from Achilles surgery, according to head coach Steve Kerr.

Thompson underwent surgery to repair his torn right Achilles last November, and he has been privately rehabbing his injury ever since. However, Kerr shared that the next step for the sharpshooter is have him around the team.

“I'd love to have him up here as much as possible. That's the plan,' the Warriors coach said, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

While Klay Thompson has already been ruled out of the campaign, having him around the Warriors should be beneficial with the team's morale. After all, it hasn't been a good start to the season for Steve Kerr and his Dubs following a 2-2 start highlighted by two blowout losses to the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks in their first two games.

The Warriors have since bounced back with wins against the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons, but they still have a lot to prove as they are yet to play against Western Conference teams.

Stephen Curry is slowly finding his rhythm, while Draymond Green is set to return on Friday as the Dubs face the Portland Trail Blazers. As for Thompson's replacements in Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins, they have a lot to work on as they adjust to playing with both Green, Curry and rookie James Wiseman.

Perhaps Klay's presence on the Warriors will benefit both Wiggins and Oubre as they try to establish their roles and position with the team.
