Much has been made about the offseason moves, or lack thereof, from the Golden State Warriors thus far. Regardless of who they will or won't acquire, their biggest addition this season remains internal.

Klay Thompson has Warriors fans excited about this season, and for good reason. Even without another star in the mix, their team's championship core is still intact. Stephen Curry is playing the best basketball of his life, but the question remains on where his Splash Brother will be come next season.

The Warriors star was asked if he has an NBA Finals-or-bust mentality coming into the season. Thompson claimed that's where the team currently stands, but he's still got some catching up to do.

“It will be at some point. Actually on media day, we all had to write down our goals and every single player wrote championship. So I love where our mindset's at as far as being unified.”

Though Thompson admits that 2019 Klay isn't going to be walking through Chase Center doors right away, the Warriors guard predicts he'll be able to make his presence felt right off the bat – hopefully in time for their playoff run at that.

“But I was playing the best basketball of my life in 2019 when I get hurt. I expect to get back there. Not right away just because that was a hundred games worth of work and incredible shape. But when I step back on the floor I'm gonna be a very effective player. Maybe not what I was doing shooting the ball like I was, but I will still be really good. And I will just keep going up – and I really believe that.”

Warriors fans want nothing more than to see Klay Thompson back and playing at a high level. There's no doubt he's putting in the work to make that happen.
