The Golden State Warriors suffered a brutal defeat on Tuesday night at the hands of Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies. It was a close game until the Grizzlies pulled away in the fourth quarter, handing the Warriors a 116-108 loss. After the game, a reporter asked Klay Thompson if Memphis reminded him of them when the Dubs first came on the scene as an elite team.

“They're a good team. Their record reflects that. But I don't know. Our team is pretty unique. Especially those early championship years. … Top four in the west, possible playoff matchup down the road and we don't take them lightly,” Thompson told ClutchPoints.

The Warriors are 30-10 with the second-best record in the NBA. They fell to a Grizzlies team that is the hottest squad in the league, now winners of 10 straight games after Tuesday's triumph.

In that stretch, the Grizzlies have defeated the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and now the Golden State Warriors. This run is impressive and shows they are the real deal.

Of course, the Warriors aren't panicking. Even though it's the second time this season they've been beaten by Morant and company, the Warriors haven't played them at full strength. Thompson was on the floor Tuesday night, but they were without their third wheel in Draymond Green.

When Green is on the floor, the Dubs are a different team on both sides of the ball. He is currently out due to a calf injury he suffered sometime before Thompson's season debut. Having him on the court doesn't guarantee a victory, but it definitely helps change the outcome of the game.

Still, the Grizzlies will be a team to watch as this season goes on.
