Thompson, 29, is dealing with right knee soreness following the team’s 103-96 loss to the Orlando Magic on Thursday. The eight-year sharpshooter notched 21 points in 36 minutes, while shooting a horrendous 3-of-12 from the 3-point line.
Head coach Steve Kerr told reporters at Saturday’s practice that Thompson will undergo an MRI, once the team returns home.

Klay Thompson is averaging 22.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, while shooting a career-low percentage (39.6) from deep for the Warriors this season.
Looney, 23, will miss his first game of the season tonight (right pelvic soreness) — currently posting an average of 6.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 62 games.
The Warriors will still have the pregame edge in the frontcourt battle, however, as Philly remains thin in that regard.
With the sidelined bigs Joel Embiid and Boban Marjanovic, it’s likely that the matchup will become a small-ball clash.
Warriors bigs Jordan Bell and Jonas Jerebko are in line for more burn, as well.
The Golden State Warriors will look to improve their deep shooting, after heaving up a forgettable 9-of-40 (22.5 percent) from the 3-point line against the Orlando Magic on Thursday.
