Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson is motivated to come back stronger than ever after an ACL tear — suffered in last year's NBA Finals — has forced him to miss all of the 2019-20 season thus far.

In a short film with Kaiser Permanente detailing his rehab story, Thompson said it “kills” him to hear “talking heads” and players around the league suggest the Warriors' dynasty is over.

Thompson also said he has “so much more to give this game,” adding he is “eager to prove everyone wrong again.”

Thompson has had to watch from the bench as the Dubs went from a team that had reached five straight NBA Finals to a squad with the worst record in the league this season.

Golden State was helpless to compete without Thompson or star point guard Stephen Curry, who suffered a broken hand in the fourth game of the season and had played just five games total prior to the suspension of play.

The “Warriors dynasty is over” crowd has been out in full force ever since Kevin Durant left the team to join the Brooklyn Nets this past summer. However, the organization is still in a great place, particularly if Thompson comes back fully healthy.

Head coach Steve Kerr has given a number of guys good run this season, and the Dubs have found a diamond in the rough in Eric Paschall. They also traded for Andrew Wiggins, who could be a solid third option once the Warriors are back at full strength.

Naturally, even a miraculous Thompson return would not save Golden State's season. There's a good chance the Warriors' season is over, even if play resumes.

However, Klay Thompson is intent on helping to revitalize the franchise as a perennial contender once he returns to the court.
