Klay Thompson hit a dagger three-pointer in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Houston Rockets, and he made sure team owner Joe Lacob noticed.

Thompson pointed to Lacob when he hit a huge three-pointer for the Golden State Warriors with 36.1 seconds left to play in Game 6. The huge basket from Thompson gave the Warriors a 110-104 lead to silence the crowd inside the Toyota Center in Houston.

The big shot from downtown eventually helped the Warriors escape with a 118-113 win over the Rockets on Friday night to close out their series. With the win, Golden State moved closer to a three-peat, advancing to the Western Conference Finals for the fifth straight season – tying the “Showtime” Los Angeles Lakers for the most consecutive appearances in the Western Conference Finals.

Klay Thompson was sizzling all night long, but especially in the first half, as he finished with 27 points on 10-for-20 shooting, including a 7-for-13 clip from beyond the arc. It was the second straight 27-point performance for Thompson, who had bigger responsibilities on his shoulders after leading scorer Kevin Durant went down with an injury in Game 5.

Steph Curry was also a huge headache for the Rockets. After going scoreless in the first half, Curry erupted for 33 points in the second half, including 16 points in the final three minutes and nine seconds of the game. Curry and the Warriors will face the winner of the series between the Denver Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers, whose series has come down to Sunday's Game 7, in the Western Conference Finals.
