Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson did not make it on any of the All-NBA teams this season, and he had this to say about it:

Klay Thompson struggled during the early parts of the season but slowly regained his All-Star form as things progressed. He averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from 3. Still, it wasn't enough for him to make it to at least the All-NBA Third Team.

Because he did not receive any All-NBA honors, Thompson is not eligible for a five-year, $221 million supermax contract. However, he could still receive a five-year, $191 million contract extension from the Warriors, roughly around $30 million more than any other team can offer.

Thompson is set to become a free agent this summer, and there are multiple teams who are expected to go after him. The Los Angeles Lakers are one such team, as they will be looking to surround LeBron James with more star power next season.

However, Thompson has already stated on multiple occasions that he plans to play for the Warriors his entire career. The chance of him staying in the Bay Area is highly likely, especially if Kevin Durant leaves the team this summer.

The All-Star guard is one of the most important building blocks of the Warriors' dynasty. They will surely be willing to offer up that max contract Klay Thompson is seeking, but if they don't for some reason, maybe he thinks about going elsewhere.
