Zaza Pachulia, who is now part of the Golden State Warriors' front office, shared that he's been talking a lot to Klay Thompson since the guard's ACL injury. Pachulia admitted that Thompson was one of the first people to know about his new job as the team's consultant.

“Ha! You know, giving a hard time to Klay is not going to stop,” Zaza said, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “But, no, we’re friends. We’ve been talking. Since he’s been injured, (he has) a lot of time to be around the phone. I talked to him about the opportunity even though I hadn’t made up my mind. Only a few people heard about it and Klay was one of them. He was excited. Excited to be back again together even though it’s a different role.”

Pachulia won two titles for the Warriors from 2016 to 2018. After which, he moved to the Detroit Pistons and played for one season. As the offseason began, he was in search of teams who would need his services.

But towards mid-July, the 35-year-old Georgian thought about the possibility of hanging up his sneakers and jersey for good. It was around this time that he got a call from Warriors executive Kirk Lacob.

Now, Pachulia will be reunited with his Warriors teammates. From the looks of it, apart from doing his tasks the team's consultant, he'll also give Thompson some good old friendly ribbing.
