The Golden State Warriors were plenty disappointed after a Game 5 loss to the LA Clippers on Wednesday night, yet shooting guard Klay Thompson said his team should come out refocused for Game 6 on the road:

“Shoot, ain’t no building. Just go do what we do,” said Thompson. “Build from this game? This game sucked. We lost. Let’s go win on Friday. Let’s win big. Let’s friggin’ win by 30, like we’re capable of. …I’m excited for Friday.”

The Warriors have struggled plenty at home, winning only one of their three games at Oracle Arena this postseason, all while posting a 30-11 mark throughout the regular season.

Not a poor mark, but much less dominant than the feared “Roaracle” used to be a few years ago:

“I have no idea,” said Thompson when asked about their home woes. “We've still won a lot of games at home. We can win anywhere. It's fine, we'll just have to win all our road games. Whatever.”

The Warriors were 29-12 at home last season and a much more dominant 36-5 during Kevin Durant's first season with the team.

The two seasons before that? A pristine 39-2 mark at home in 2014-15 and 2015-16, which ultimately set the precedent of expectation.

However, the Warriors are 2-0 on the road and capable of making statements there, after tying the Milwaukee Bucks with a 27-14 mark to lead the way this season.

If Thompson and his teammates can come out focused for Game 6, there is very little the Clippers could do to avoid elimination.
