Golden State Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson admits it would “suck” if superstar small forward Kevin Durant misses the entire 2019 NBA Finals.
Thompson believes the Warriors can still defeat the Toronto Raptors without Durant, but knows the challenge is much greater sans KD, who is one of the best scorers in NBA history. The Dubs are currently down 2-1 after losing Game 3 at home:
Klay Thompson, asked about the possibility KD misses the series: "That would suck if Kevin can't come back. I mean I still think we'd have a good chance to win the Finals, but obviously that takes a huge hit. I don't think that would make us the clear cut favourite without him."

The Warriors have already ruled Durant out for Game 4 on Friday. Golden State has gone 6-2 in the postseason since Durant went down with a right calf strain in Game 5 of the second round against the Houston Rockets.
The good news is that Thompson will be back on the floor in Game 4 after the sharpshooter missed Game 3 with a left hamstring strain. The Warriors desperately need Thompson back, as the team struggled without him in Game 3. Star point guard Stephen Curry dropped 47 points, but the rest of the squad struggled on offense and the defense was bad.
It's fair to assume Durant's right calf injury is a little more serious than the Warriors initially led on. Many believe Durant could in fact miss the entire series, but the Warriors are still holding out hope their scoring machine can return, sooner rather than later.
