Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson did not shoot the ball particularly well on Saturday, as his team lost to the Houston Rockets, 126-121, in Game 3 of this Western Conference second-round matchup.
Following the defeat, Thompson was adamant that it's all on him to get himself going, refusing to pass the responsibility to head coach Steve Kerr.

Thompson is a no-nonsense straight-shooter — both off and on the court — and he is definitely not going to put his recent mini slump on anybody else but himself.
Over the first three games of the series, Thompson has gone 19-of-47 overall, which is good for only 40.4 percent shooting. He is also connecting on only 35.0 percent of his attempts form distance (7-of-20), which is uncharacteristic. Klay is a career 45.9 percent shooter overall and shoots at a 41.9 percent clip from rainbow territory, so his inefficiency against the Rockets is definitely out of the norm.
However, Thompson is a one of the purest shooters the game has ever seen, and if there's one thing about shooters, they don't stay cold for very long. The good news here is that the Warriors have won two out of the three games wherein Thompson has struggled. It's only going to be a matter of time before he gets hot again, and this will likely come at a pivotal time as the warriors continue on their quest for the elusive three-peat.
The next step in this journey, though, will come on Monday as they take on James Harden and company in Game 4.
