The Portland Trail Blazers hashed out two victories against the Golden State Warriors in the regular season, but failed to even get one in their recently concluded Western Conference Finals. Despite being up by at least 17 points in three of the four games, the Blazers still got swept by the defending champions.

Warriors guard Klay Thompson was asked about the difference between their season series split and their sweep in the West Finals, and he had the perfect response:

It's no secret that these Warriors are bored of the regular season and only really show up in April to June. It's amazing how a team that just cruised through the 82-game season still ended up with No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, and now we're seeing them dominate the postseason as they have done so over the previous four years.

Golden State beat Portland, 119-117, in overtime in Game 4 to book a fifth consecutive Finals ticket. The defending champions came back from yet another 17-point deficit late in the third quarter to complete the sweep, despite missing leading scorer Kevin Durant for the entire series.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green became the first teammates ever to record a triple-double in the same game in the playoffs.

Curry top-scored once again for Golden State with 37 points and added 13 rebounds, 11 assists and seven 3-pointers. Green, on the other hand, recorded his second straight triple-double with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Golden State now gets nine days of rest before the NBA Finals. The Warriors await the winner between the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors. Milwaukee is currently up 2-1 in the series, with Game 4 coming in Toronto on Tuesday night.
