Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson took a jab at the LA Clippers' defense following their 121-116 overtime loss on Monday night.

Thompson gave a little bit of kudos to the team that made the first three quarters of his night difficult, but didn't find anything special about how they handled him.

The Clippers held the Warriors' sharpshooter to just 11 points throughout three quarters, as he struggled to find his rhythm. But that did not stop Thompson from shooting, as he eventually caught fire, scoring eight of his 13 fourth-quarter points in a two-minute stretch late in the game to bring Golden State back in the contest. He tied the game at 106-all on a long 3-pointer with 1:27 remaining.

The game remained knotted with under 10 ticks remaining, and the Warriors had a chance to snatch the come-from-behind road win. But a fumble by Draymond Green in the dying seconds of regulation forced the game into overtime. Kevin Durant, who had been saddled with foul trouble, was disqualified from the contest with around three minutes remaining in overtime after he committed his sixth foul. With Durant out of the game and Stephen Curry on the sidelines due to a groin injury, the Warriors succumbed to Clippers in overtime.

Klay Thompson finished his night with 31 points, but shot just 13-of-31 from the field and 5-of-16 from beyond the arc. The Clippers' defense made life difficult for Thompson, forcing him into tough shots and making him work for all of the 31 shot attempts he took. The Curry-less Warriors dropped their second loss in three games.

Golden State looks to get back on track as against the Atlanta Hawks at Oracle Arena on Tuesday.
