NBC Sports Bay Area gave Golden State Warriors fans a treat by having beloved star Klay Thompson on the broadcast during the third quarter of their game against the Detroit Pistons. While on the air, the injured guard gave an update on his Achilles rehab and how he's been doing since going down with the season-ending injury.

“I'm living good, to be back in the building that I'm so eagerly waiting to play in. Just a little bored at times, stuff's slow with trying to let my Achilles heel and get to the next stage with mobility work. But I'm feeling good. I'm happy to be with my teammates. Unfortunately, I'm not playing. It kills me everyday. I plan on playing for a long time and I don't wanna have mishaps from this rehab,” said the Warriors sharpshooter.

It's good to see Klay Thompson in good spirits, especially after he went down with another devastating injury for the second year in a row. Warriors fans certainly miss seeing the 5-time All-Star just as much as he misses treating them to his sweet-shooting performances.

As he mentioned, Thompson is still going through his rehab process as he gears for a Golden State return in the 2021-22 season. The Warriors are definitely anticipating Klay's return as they look to compete for another championship with their veteran core three of Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green leading the charge.

It is definitely intriguing to see how this Warriors squad would look with Thompson back in the mix. Andrew Wiggins has emerged as two-way force for the Golden State through the early goings of this season. Meanwhile, they also drafted a promising 19-year old stud in James Wiseman with the no. 2 overall pick and he should get much better in year 2.

A Warriors core five of Curry, Thompson, Green, an improved Wiggins, and a better Wiseman, to go along with further depth will definitely be scary sight for the rest of the league next season.
