LaMelo Ball does not share the same sentiment as his father when it comes to his potential fit with the Golden State Warriors.

The highly touted point guard prospect responded to some recent comments from his father, LaVar Ball, stating he feels he can play for any organization:

“My old man, he's his own man,” Ball said, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “He has his opinions, I have mine. Like I said, I feel like I can play on any team. Anywhere's a great fit.”

Golden State owns the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 draft, and Ball is one of the names toward the top of many mock drafts.

LaVar has previously indicated he does not believe his youngest son would fit well with the Dubs, who already have one of the best point guards in the NBA in Stephen Curry.

However, both Curry and Klay Thompson are terrific off the ball in terms of their respective abilities to run off screens and cut. Having someone with Ball's size and vision might actually benefit the two prolific shooters.

Then again, the Warriors do not seem very keen on Ball, anyway.

Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle previously reported Golden State — should it draft a point guard — has been focusing more on Iowa State guard Tyrese Haliburton and French prospect Killian Hayes. Hayes also spoke about the possibility of going to the Warriors:

The Warriors might also be interested in selecting Israeli forward Deni Avdija, whose stock seems to grow as the draft approaches.

Still, if the Warriors change their minds, LaMelo thinks he would fit in the Bay Area.
