The Golden State Warriors have been dealing with a myriad of injuries and COVID-19 related issues. That has hampered the play on the court for the team. They have lost two straight games and three of their last five. It has especially hurt the team on the offensive end of the court.

During those three losses, the Warriors have scored 86, 82 and 96 points respectively. One player Golden State is hoping can step up and help out is Damion Lee. The team announced on Friday that Lee's contract will be guaranteed for the rest of the season.

Lee is set to make just under $2 million this season for Golden State. He has averaged a little over eight points per game, to go along with four boards in just under 21 minutes per game.

Lee has shown flashes this season, but has mostly underwhelmed for the Warriors. He is in the middle of his 4th season with Golden State. During 2019-2020, he averaged a career-high 29 minutes per game. That translated to almost 13 points per game, but his production has dipped ever since. His playing time has therefore suffered as well.

Both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are currently listed as day to day. Curry suffered what is reported to be a quad contusion in Wednesday night's loss to the Mavericks. Meanwhile, Green is dealing with a left hip injury. Both players are questionable to play Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The recent skid has seen Golden State drop a game below the Phoenix Suns for the top spot in the Western Conference.
