Golden State Warriors big man Marquese Chriss has been fined $35,000 for shoving Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic to the floor this past Saturday at the Chase Center.

In case you missed the play, here it is:

The league is always going to protect the best players in the game and Luka Doncic is one of them. Unfortunately for Marquese Chriss, his short temper got the best of him against the wrong player.

In his first season with the Warriors, Chriss is averaging 7.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He's shooting 49.1 percent from the field, just 19.0 percent from beyond the arc and 79.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors are 9-25 on the season. After going to the NBA Finals five straight seasons, the Dubs are no longer elite. The Warriors have the worst record in the Western Conference and the second-worst record in the entire NBA.

Only the Atlanta Hawks (6-27) have a worse record than the Warriors.

Beyond Draymond Green, the rest of the Warriors' core from the five-year Finals run is either injured or has moved on from Golden State. Stephen Curry is out with a broken left hand and is not expected to play soon. Klay Thompson is still rehabbing his left ACL tear which he sustained during the NBA Finals.

Kevin Durant has moved on from the Dubs and joined the Brooklyn Nets this past summer. KD is expected to miss the entire season for the Nets due to his Achilles tear.

Andre Iguodala was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies this past offseason, though he won’t play a single game for Memphis and is just waiting for his situation to be resolved. Shaun Livingston, meanwhile, retired.
