With yesterday being 4/20, a day that weed lovers rejoice, there was a lot of different articles on the web about players who smoke cannabis.

One of the better articles was done by Master Tesfatsion of Bleacher Report who talked with former NBA and NFL players who regularly smoked weed during their careers.

One of the more famous guys that were interviewed was Matt Barnes who has been known as a regular weed user throughout his career.

Barnes admitted during the interview that he was high during games, and most of his best games happened when he was under the influence.  He said he would do morning shootaround, go home, smoke and take a nap before coming back for the nights game. On his off days though, he did have one guy that he loved to smoke with.

“Who was your favorite player to smoke with on off days Matt Barnes: Stephen Jackson.”

It isn't much of a surprise that he smoked weed with Jackson because last year, Jackson admitted to smoking his entire NBA career.

Barnes was also asked if he was high when he drove to confront Derek Fisher over his ex-wife. Barnes wouldn't admit that he was high during it, but did say he had smoked earlier in the day.

For Barnes, he enjoyed a nice NBA career. In 929 games he averaged 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Although he was never really a star, he was a good role player especially when he was with the Los Angeles Clippers.
