When it comes to the world of international soccer, it does not get any bigger than Brazilian superstar Neymar. The 27-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward is not only one of the best players in the sport today, but he also happens to be one of the most well-paid athletes in the entire sporting world. Nevertheless, Neymar himself admitted that he was recently left in awe when he first met Golden State Warriors former two-time Most Valuable Player winner Stephen Curry.

“Steph is one of my favorite NBA players,” Neymar said in an interview with House of Highlights, via Jessica Kleinschmidt of Yahoo Sports. “He was one of the stars I met that made me starstruck.”

As it turns out, even the biggest of personalities also get starstruck from time to time. Neymar then went on to say that his encounter with Stephen Curry is something that he will cherish for life.

“Because wanting to or not, I am also a fan,” he added. “It was a unique moment for me.”

As with the rest of us, though, Neymar has also been robbed of having to witness Curry's greatness this season. The 31-year-old still remains on the sidelines to this very day, as he continues to recover from his broken hand. Golden State is now in full tank mode, so the odds of Curry featuring significantly for his team this season continues to dwindle with every Warriors loss.

At this point, it would not come as a complete shock if the team opts to have Curry sit out the remainder of the campaign as they try to beef up their odds of getting a high lottery pick and bolster their campaign for next season.
