New Golden State Warriors addition Nick Young is listed as doubtful for Sunday's back-end game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Connor LeTourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The swingman suffered the injury after taking a hard spill, lasting only 16 minutes on the floor while collecting seven points in the effort.

Young is very familiar with the high tempo, up-and-down style the Warriors play after one season under Steve Kerr protege Luke Walton, but he can benefit from as much time on the floor as he can garner with his new teammates during this shortened preseason.

The hope is that Young would be able to take the court and rejoin his teammates by Oct. 13, when the Warriors take on the Sacramento Kings on the last preseason game prior to Oct. 17's season opener against a dangerous Houston Rockets team.

Nick Young arrived at training camp a tad overweight and is still working to get back to game shape.

The man known as “Swaggy P” has averaged 12 points on 41.9 percent shooting from the field and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc over his 10-year career in the league. After being labeled as a weak defender over his career, he has shown a new-found commitment to the defensive side of the ball under Walton — proving a capable asset for this team when healthy.
