The Golden State Warriors on Friday afternoon held their Media Day to open up for the 2017-18 campaign.

This year's roster has reunited big man JaVale McGee and veteran guard Nick Young, who last played together with the Washington Wizards. With that in mind, McGee took to social media to voice his level of excitement for what's to come for this upcoming season.

The two are expected to take significant roles off the bench together as part of the second unit. McGee is heading into his second year with the Warriors after proving to be a valuable contributor with his ability to impact the game defensively while being a strong source of rebounding.

Meanwhile, Young is set to take the court for his first year with Golden State after signing a one-year, $5.2 million deal with the team this offseason. The 32-year-old has the potential to fill a critical role off the bench as a dependable scoring option.

Young is coming off one of his most efficient campaigns where he averaged 13.2 points on 43.0 percent shooting from the field and 40.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc. He could be in store for another year of effective scoring given the nature of the Warriors' unselfish offense and his familiarity playing in it last season under Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton.

The two could become important pieces to the puzzle of the Warriors' run to repeat as NBA champions this upcoming season.
