Even when times may be rough around the Golden State Warriors locker room due to yet another injury to superstar point guard Stephen Curry, we can always count on shooting guard Nick Young to lighten the mood a bit.

In a video posted by Mark Medina of the Mercury News Friday night after the Warriors' 106-94 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, Nick Young said that he managed to joke around with his teammate following Curry's unfortunate left MCL strain.

“I told him, I didn’t come here for you to be hurt, man,” Young said with a laugh and a big smile. “So you need to get right. I need to throw some champagne around a little bit.”

Curry, who made his return to head coach Steve Kerr's starting lineup following a six-game absence due to a sprained right ankle, had the misfortune of catching the injury bug yet again during the third quarter.

“Kind of a strange, cruel twist of fate,” coach Kerr said, per a video posted by Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “He rehabs his ankle for the last couple weeks, he gets that strong and then the knee goes. So we’ll see what happens and we’ll keep our fingers crossed…He’s in good spirits. I did talk to him. He’s disappointed.”

Stephen Curry was having a great game up until his injury with a team-high 29 points on 10-of-18 shooting in only 25 minutes of action. The results of his MRI are yet to be released and we will get that information to you as soon as it becomes available.
