When it comes to basketball aliens, Stephen Curry has always been a candidate for being one.

On Saturday against the L.A. Clippers, he made the case for believing the truth really is out there.

Curry, point guard for the Golden State Warriors, scored a game-high 45 points in the win against the Clippers. He shot 11-of-21 from the field, including 8-of-16 from three-point range.

Curry didn't even play in the fourth quarter.

Teammate Nick Young was asked about Curry's extraterrestrial basketball feat and had this to say, per Bleacher Report.

Curry likes to go off every now and then, sending the collective basketball world — and basketball Twitter — into a collective frenzy. But even Young has been known for his fair share of hot shooting nights.

But for Young to say he's never seen anything like Curry's scoring flurry is notable because there have been plenty of pure shooters in the NBA before Curry. However, none of them played in the same style, which is probably where Young's comment comes from.

And don't forget: Curry recently returned from an ankle injury that sidelined him for several weeks. He wasn't on his feet at all for quite some time, let alone shooting a basketball.

But for shooters as good as Curry, it doesn't take long for him to get back into a groove. At the clip he was shooting at, Curry could've easily gone for 60 points, further cementing the fact that the Warriors kill the Clippers any time they matchup against each other.

So relax, Swaggy P. There's more where that came from.
