The Golden State Warriors had a very formidable lineup last year, and were successful in keeping it intact this offseason. But they were still not satisfied with it, and their front office decided to add key pieces through the free agency market. One of them is former Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young, who will give them another shooter from beyond the arc, and someone who can be a solid contributor for them off the bench.

He is already being eyed as the next JaVale McGee, as the 7-foot center became a fixture in their rotation last season, and played a crucial role for them in their championship run. When asked what he feels about receiving the similar role, Young made it known that he is looking forward to it, but also clarified that instead of dunking the ball, he will shoot more from the 3-point line after catching it.

The 32-year-old USC product is entering his 11th season in the NBA, but is still a reliable contributor even with a limited role. He has spent the last four years with the Lakers, and had a number of solid performances for them, emerging as one of the best sixth men in the league today. He owns career averages of 12.0 points, including 37.6 from 3-point distance, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 23.6 minutes per game.

If he can continue playing impressive basketball now that he is in Oakland, Young could further establish himself as a big time player, and even win his first championship with the Dubs. He has always had full of confidence in his game, and if he produces similar numbers to what he had the past few years, he could even turn out to be one of the most important signings for the Warriors, despite being a low-key one.
