SAN FRANCISCO — Not many people can say they've seen the very best of something in the world, but Golden State Warriors forward Otto Porter Jr can. He's now playing with the best shooter to walk the planet, Stephen Curry. Seeing it up close is different, and you can't help but admire his greatness.

“It’s amazing to see his work ethic. A lot of people don’t get the chance to see that. He’s in the gym after hours, before, just putting up shots,” Porter told ClutchPoints.

In the short time Porter has been on the Warriors, he has noticed some of the ways Curry impacts the team. Curry isn't the loudest player on the team, but his message gets across to his team loud and clear. That's what sets the tone for his troops when going into battle.

“We’ve got young guys that are watching that, and they’re in the gym too. So, he’s being a leader on and off the court, just making sure that when we do get the ball, we’ve just got to knock down our shots with confidence,” Porter said.

Porter has been a standout for the Warriors in the first two games of the preseason. It looks like he has been on the team for years. He scored 19 points in the first game and 15 in the second, all while coming off the bench.

As time passes, the easier it will be for Porter to play his game. Playing with Curry will be an enormous reason for that, and Porter is looking primed for a bounce-back season after dealing with injury woes in recent years.
