After signing DeMarcus Cousins this summer, the Golden State Warriors have put themselves in position to win their third straight NBA title which would also happen to be their fourth in the last five years – a feat that hasn't been done since the 60's Boston Celtics teams.

With this, most people think that the Warrior' biggest challenge will be stay on edge especially during the regular season. Warriors' owner Joe Lacob, however, doesn't think that focus will be a concern for his team at least from his perspective. In an interview with Mercury News, was quoted in saying,

“I don’t know why they would have any problem being engaged. It’s a completely new NBA season,” Lacob said. “That was the past. This is the now. We’re trying to win a championship.”

You have to like the mentality that Lacob has. Even if the Warriors might have the most talented lineup out there, any slippage in their play might just mean the difference between getting the top seed or not. Last year, if not for Chris Paul's injury, the Houston Rockets could have easily beat them in Game 7.

Realistically though, even if the Warriors have any sort of trouble getting themselves to be engaged, this wouldn't matter much once they get to the postseason and turn on the proverbial “switch”. Barring any major injury, it would be tough to even imagine the Warriors losing in a seven-game series especially with a healthy Cousins. When the dust settles, the odds are the Warriors will get their three-peat.
