With less than a minute remaining in the third quarter between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, Vince Carter accidentally undercut Patrick McCaw. It resulted in McCaw falling on his tailbone and taken off the floor on a stretcher.

According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, the MRI on McCaw returned structurally sound, but there is no return timetable yet.

After a scary fall in which Patrick McCaw lost feeling in his legs for a moment, MRI results on the Golden State Warriors guard’s lower back returned structurally sound, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

There is no timetable for McCaw’s return, but there is hope that he will be discharged from the hospital on Sunday, league sources said.

After a strong rookie season, McCaw has had to overcome some obstacles in his sophomore season. Appearing in just 57 out of a possible 76 games, the second-year guard is averaging 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 16.9 minutes.

Prior to this unfortunate injury, McCaw recently returned after missing 13 consecutive games. With major injuries to the team's core players, the 22-year-old received an opportunity to play major minutes. In six games during March, he averaged 6.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 27.2 minutes.

For the Warriors, the ultimate goal is getting relatively healthy as the playoffs quickly approach. While Stephen Curry is not expected to play in the first round, the hope is McCaw can return soon and help Golden State win their third championship in four consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
