Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant is already being linked to several teams, as he will likely become a free agent after the 2018-19 NBA season.

Durant could hit free agency if he opts out of his player option for next season. While he could still sign and stay with the Warriors, there is a growing speculation that KD will eventually leave Golden State this summer.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN during her appearance on The Jump, the Dubs are already bracing for his departure.

Shelburne believes that the Warriors are already aware that this could be the final year of Durant in the Bay Area. The 30-year-old superstar joined the Warriors in 2016 in the hopes of winning a title, which he has already accomplished after leading Golden State to back-to-back championships in the last two seasons.

“I think there's a sense there that he's going to leave Golden State too,” Shelburne said. “I think you feel that within the Warriors organization. That's why this whole run feels like they're all just trying to savor it.”

Durant, a two-time Finals MVP, is being linked primarily with the New York Knicks. Aside from the Knickerbockers, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets are also being mentioned as possible destinations for the NBA champion in the offseason.
