Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has knocked down 2,500 career 3-pointers, making him just the third player in NBA history to do so. Reggie Miller congratulated Curry for joining him and Ray Allen in the exclusive club.

In a tweet, Miller welcomed Curry to the three-man club. Miller also believes that the two-time MVP will surpass him in just a few weeks. And the next on the list is Allen — the all-time leader in 3-pointers made.

As of this writing, Miller has a total of 2,560 while Allen has 2,973. There's a pretty good chance that Curry overtakes Miller. That's if he stays healthy and nothing crazy happens this season. As for Allen, it'll take a season or two before Curry takes his spot. But as Miller noted, Curry is already the greatest shooter in his eyes.

Miller's sentiments were echoed by Allen in an interview several years ago, per Abe Schwadron of Slam Magazine. This was when Curry was taking the league by storm, effectively changing how the game is being played. For Allen, it's plain and simple. Stephen Curry is in a league of his own.

“Based on what he’s done, I think he has to be—he’s on his way to being the best ever. It’s always arguable, based on who’s telling the story. One thing I always tell people is, it’s hard to compare generations. Everybody has something or somebody that makes him feel special about the game, or the way they saw and the way they appreciate the game. I’ve sat back and watched a lot, and listened to a lot of people talk. He’s creating a lane all of his own. People comparing him to me, to Reggie [Miller]. But I think Steph is in a category of his own.”

It's safe to say that when Stephen Curry is crowned the all-time leader in 3-pointers made, Allen and Miller will be the first ones to congratulate him.
