Draymond Green is in line to miss his fourth straight game this season after dealing with a torn ligament in his finger, and Western Conference opponents expect him to be expeditiously cautious about when he returns.

The West has been long awaiting the Golden State Warriors' vulnerability, and now they've found it's time to unload with no Kevin Durant, no Klay Thompson, and no Stephen Curry.

One anonymous player clearly is reveling in what's happening:

“It's a long season,” an anonymous Pacific Division player told Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report via text message. “Even if he misses 20 games, he'll still have to play 50. Lol. And they're losing 40 of them. Lol.”

Even once Green returns, the Warriors are not expecting to trot him out there for the rest of the 2019-20 campaign, well aware that this will be a transitional season with very little chance to make a mark.

Portland Trail Blazers swingman Rodney Hood also doesn't expect Green to take the humiliation of losing to teams the Warriors have mopped the floor with in the past:

“He definitely is not going to be out there by himself,” said Hood, who has seen his season end as a member of the Utah Jazz in 2016-17, the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017-18, and swept out of contention in the Western Conference Finals last season with the Blazers. “I don't think he could take that. Not for a whole year.”

Draymond Green flexed his muscles for five straight years as a member of a dynasty, but now the West is looking for revenge. Hood and company don't care how it comes, as long as Green is in uniform to feel it.
