Veteran point guard Shaun Livingston and newly-acquired center Andrew Bogut will not play for the Golden State Warriors as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.

Both players did not travel to Los Angeles and will instead stay home to play on Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers in a back-to-back.

Andre Iguodala and DeMarcus Cousins are slated to have that night off, as the Warriors now stagger rest for their key players prior to yet another grueling playoff run in the Western Conference.

Head coach Steve Kerr is expected to sit all of his starters at one point or another through these five final games of the season, especially considering the two back-to-backs to finish out this stretch.

The Warriors already have a one-and-a-half game lead over the Denver Nuggets, plus a valuable tiebreaker, giving them every advantage in the book as they navigate the final trail of their 2018-19 campaign.

Livingston has largely played a reserve role throughout this season and is expected to come behind Quinn Cook to back up Stephen Curry at the point guard position, while Bogut, also a third-stringer, will be deployed as insurance for Cousins' foul trouble and in lineups that require size defending the rim.
