There has been a lot of discussions this offseason about the Golden State Warriors and what they have done to basketball. With DeMarcus Cousins coming on board, some fans made it clear they believe the Warriors have ruined the NBA.

Shaun Livingston ,who has been with the Warriors since the beginning of their run of three titles in four years, doesn't believe that his team has ruined basketball because the majority of their roster has come through the draft. Livingston sat down with Michael Scotto of The Athletic to talk about the current state of the Warriors and the NBA.

“I mean, you look at what we were able to do, what the team was able to do and grow,” Livingston said Thursday. “(Six) picks before Steph (Curry), 10 picks before Klay (Thompson), a whole round before Draymond (Green). You know? So, I think when you talk about ruining basketball you talk about Kevin (Durant) making his decision, and people point to that because of the team we had and what we were able to build.

Livingston also said Kevin Durant shouldn't be faulted for deciding to go to the Warriors because there is no such thing as loyalty in the league anymore.

“But that’s his decision. That’s his decision, right? As a player, as a person, he’s earned that right he’s earned that decision. And also, you look at what happened with DeMar DeRozan, with Isaiah Thomas, you know what I mean?

The Warriors shouldn't be blamed for what they have done because they are just trying to win, but there is no question it the competitive balance of the NBA is hardly existent at this time.
