Whenever he decides to step away from the game of basketball, Golden State Warriors point guard Shaun Livingston would like to work in an NBA front office.

Livingston says whenever his NBA career is over, he wants to take a year off to just chill and step away from basketball.

After that year is over, the Warriors' veteran says a front office role would suit him very well.

“I just kind of thought I’d be a better fit,” Livingston told Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “Then the schedule of travel. If you’re coaching, it’s the same grind as now. Some guys maybe like it.

“Plus, I like putting things together. The long game. Strategizing. Being able to mix and match personalities of guys. Maybe some teams have more talent — and talent matters most in this league — but personalities play a big role. I picked up on that when I played in those 100 cities, those 17 teams.”

The front office life is much different than being a head coach or player.

Like Shaun Livingston says, the traveling isn't as hectic when you work for a team's front office. You do more behind the scenes stuff.

The Illinois native, who has won three titles with the Warriors, feels like that could be something he could thrive in down the line.
