The Golden State Warriors are in search of an elusive three-peat and their fourth title in five years. Shaun Livingston has been with the team for all three of their championships and his presence off the bench has been crucial to Golden State's success. According to Logan Murdock of the Bay Area News Group, Livingston is questionable for opening night with a sore foot.

Livingston is 33-years-old and he's on the back half of his career. Keeping him fresh throughout the season will be something that Steve Kerr and his staff will need to monitor as the year progresses. The team is already dealing with injuries, but they care much more about entering the playoffs healthy than they care about the regular season.
Draymond Green will be on a minutes limit to begin the year and DeMarcus Cousins is sidelined for the foreseeable future while he recovers from an Achilles tear that ended his previous season prematurely. Livingston's injury concerns are much closer to Green's than that of Cousins. Green and Shaun Livingston are dealing with nagging injuries that they can probably play through, but they are choosing to play it safe.
Cousins' injury is more concerning, but he should be ready to go by the time the playoffs roll around. The Warriors season doesn't truly begin until the playoffs start. Injuries are one of the few things that can derail this team. It's best for them to play it safe, even when the injuries aren't overly concerning like Livingston's.
