The remnants of a Monday night tiff between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant are still there, despite a five-game week that saw the Golden State Warriors go 1-4 throughout their last few outings. Veteran point man Shaun Livingston can't wait to see the day in which this debacle is in the rearview mirror, but he insists the media has been relentless in its pursuit of unwrapping all that went on at the bowels of Staples Center.
“In this locker room, we’re all trying to let it go, he’s trying to let it go,” Shaun Livingston said of his teammates and Durant, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “But it’s tough when everyone else is trying to keep it going.”
Part of why the media has yet to release its grip on this story is due to the Warriors' recent three-game skid and a nightmarish week in which they only mustered a narrow loss against the Atlanta Hawks the day after the confrontation between the two All-Stars.
Winning often solves all woes, but the Warriors haven't won, going winless during their recent Texas Triangle road trip, losing to the Houston Rockets, the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs to close out a horrid week.
Golden State went from having the best record in the West to third place after going 5-5 in their last 10 games, making winning the only potential distraction from a locker room that has been ensnared in hoopla for the last 10 days.
