Way before the Golden State Warriors released their initial diagnosis of Kevin Durant's leg injury, San Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay already had his own prediction — and it was right on the money.

In response to a question by Rob Perez who asked whether Reggie Miller's assessment is accurate or not, Gay shared his opinion and believed that Durant suffered a calf strain .

Later, after the Warriors confirmed a calf strain, Gay joked that he might have missed his real calling. Maybe after his playing years, Gay can work as part of a medical staff of a team?

Either way, Gay did wish Durant well and offered prayers:

As this story develops, we should expect the Warriors to release a more extensive report on Durant's status. The Dubs really need Durant and missing him even just for one game would be a major blow to them. However, they know they would need to prioritize KD's health more than anything else.

The Rockets have proven they are legitimate threats to the Warriors' dynasty, and they will certainly look to take advantage of Golden State's unlucky break.

Game 6 will be on Friday, May 10, at the Toyota Center in Houston. The Warriors won Game 5 and are now leading 3-2, but they should expect a hostile crowd and a more determined Houston squad.
