It was all smiles for the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night as DeMarcus Cousins finally made his much-awaited debut for his new team following a career-threatening Achilles tear last season.

Cousins' first basket to mark hi Warriors career was in the form of an emphatic dunk, which boosted not only his morale, but the whole team as well.

Following the routine 112-94 win against the Los Angeles Clippers, Dubs superstar Stephen Curry shared his reaction to Cousins' first basket as a Warrior. The two-time MVP was obviously delighted for his teammate, and could barely contain his own excitement during the moment.

Cousins was immediately inserted to the starting lineup by Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, and the 29-year-old big man responded with a wonderful debut for his new team.

Cousins notched 14 points (on 5-of-11 shooting), three three-pointers, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and just one turnover in his first outing of the season. The 6-foot-11 big man fouled out after just 15 minutes of playing time, but he was treated to a standing ovation by the crowd on his way out.

It was a very impressive debut for Cousins, and Curry could not agree more. The Warriors All-Star guard praised Cousins' energy and his ability to take control of the moment despite all the excitement and anticipation.

The Warriors are likely going to take it slow on Cousins, as he works his way back to game shape. However, based on how he looked in his debut, we would not be surprised if his given a full load sooner rather than later.
